Butter beer

Greetings Betterccino followers, this is a recipe for all you potter-heads out there and can be good for you 'notters' as well.

Here is my magical Butterbeer recipe,

you'll need:
1 bottle of beer (Stella in mt case)
10g of butter
A whole load of magical talent (or at least more than they have at cakecuccino, which is none, so we're in luck there :P)
1 bezoar stone (optional)

Firstly you will need to take your bottle opener and remove the bottle top from the previously mentioned bottle.
Next pour the contents of said bottle into an appropriate glass receptical. (as below)
Let the beverage stand for a second.
Then take 10g of butter on a knife, being extremly careful not to stab any house-elves.
Add the butter to the beer and abracadabra, we have a magical drink
Enjoy and try not to drink to much or a stupify hex wont be the reason you're on the floor.
p.s for non harry potter fans making this is a very good excuse for drinking at 2 in the afternoon.

head in the baking game

for this reciepe you will need:
1 box of gingerbread men (pre bought)
1 box of icing
25 ml of water
1 packet of crisps (preferable walkers)
Some round toffees
red, yellow and black food dye or icing in these colours
1 mixing bowl

first opwn the box of gingerbread men by breaking free the seal and lifting the lid as shown below.
next lay out the gingerbread men in in rows ordering them according to the status quo. after that proceed to mix the icing powder and water in order to create icing add red food dye in order to turn theicing red and apply to the chests of the gingerbread menwait for the icing to set, 20-30 min. then starting something new, ice half the men with yellow hair as below and half with black also below. Those with yellow hair ice the number 14 onto their shirt and 8 with the black haired ones also giving them the toffees to act as basketballs its easy to work this out.

And there you have some high school musical gingerbread men.
p.s the crisps were just for me to eat i got hungry while doing this.

Apple turnover

Now after using the oven last time i thought it prudent to not use anything like that this time, so alll you need to make this apple turnover is an apple and yourself. place the apple in an open area with plenty of room around it and then folllow the instructions and pictures below.

Takeing your hand pick up the apple.

then proceed to turn it first 90o then the full 180o.

Finally place the appple down and you have your appple turnover enjoy this healthy snack

Scrumptious cakes

Now to top my previous creations i had to use the dreaded oven but it wasnt just any oven it was a brand new shiny oven after the other one had been broken by cakecuccino in an act of corperate sabotage. to start with i went to my local shop and purchesed the ingrediants of 1 egg, and a tom and jerry cake kit.

Mixing the cake mix together with the aforth mentioned egg and water to create the perfect mix that was then carefully placed in case also provided in the kit. the cakes could then enter the oven at the temp of 220 degrees celcius.

Next step was the icing for the cakes this was a simple and easy process that few could get wrong, mixing the icing sugar with water, a brillliant idea came into my head it did, that by adding blue food dye that i could then make the icing blue instead of the girly pink. A brilliant notion it was. After the cakes ahd been in the oven for 20 mins i could then take them out let them cool for another 10 then top with the blue icing and add the little suger stickers on top, perfection and all don in 1/2 an hour no 4 hours spent on cake here.

Easy Chocolate Brownies

In order to compete with other baking bloggers new easy recipe i decided to make a simple recipe once again without the use of the oven, these are my easy chocolate brownies.
For these most splendiferous brownies cooked thouroughly unlike how cakeuccino's baker would have them done. You will be able to do these in 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Go to your local supermarket (in my case Nisa) and purchess the Brownies they most likely will sell. I got mine for the remarkable price of £1 sterling.
Step 2: Open the packet and neatly place the brownies onto a plate.
Step 3: give the brownies a little sprinkle of icing sugar and then serve to guests
it's as easy as A-B-C and will leave many happy faces. (as seen below)

BBQ Cookies

Following on the idea from the previous thread i went fulll steam, or should i say bbq, ahead.

first mixing in 200g of non self-raising flour, 150g of sugar and a teaspoon of baking powder then mixing by hand with butter. i achieved a breadcrumb like substance. In a separate containment unit, I did maliciously beat a tablespoon of milk with one egg then proceeded to add 100g of chocolate. then miking both concocotions together to create the batter for my cookies.

Following this i then put dollops onto a sheet of aluminated foil and then placed on the BBQ to cook away. halfway through i put another sheet of foil on top sealed the cookies so to then flip then ensuring even cooking.

after 20-30 mins of cooking, the cookies were ready to be opened and had turned out B-E-A-utiful. Then were then enjoyed by friends i had invited over and critics from other baking blogs, who i think now will have a more open mind when it comes to different forms of baking.

The sacrifices that we make

Good day blogosphere,

Further spreading the brilliant idea of harnessing the power of steam theis brave baker/explorer unfortunatlly came to harm. While making food for my friend (previously photographed) i was scalded by water, that was at least 212 degrees fahrenheit. Thus a new system to bake my fantasmagorical baked goods, and the idea for BBQ cakes was born. Keep watching this space........

Best of the best

When it comes to baking the vast majority of people would say that a key componant to the whole process is a working oven, I do not follow this idea. Due to the oven breaking and a need for baked goods when my friends come over for our 'Movie Mondays' i had to devise a way to provide the necessary baked goods.

My system revolves around harnessing the power of steam where by i will basically boil a cake. Some rival bakers will scrutinise this system and if face with a similar problem will try and find easy solutions like grilling cakes.
I decided that to start off i would make simple cakes that would be a good example to my friends that this was a system of baking worth investing in.

Following the recipe and adding sugar, 2 eggs and butter into a bowl before mixing thouroughly. Then adding flour to the mixture and a dash of vanilla, then mixing together to make the perfect mixture for the cakes.

I then proceeded to give out equal quantaties to each cake.

The next part would be the most complicated and trickiest that only experienced bakers like myself would preform, it was time to boil the cakes.
I added heated water to a pan and the placed the cake in a sieve then placed it in the pan and carefully put the lid over the sieve so that the steam wouldn't escape so eaisily and the cake wou;ld cook in a faster time. the whole process took about 15 to 20 minuites, and at the end of it we had 7 loverly cakes, more would have been made but only 3 people were attending our movies nightt this week out of usually 6+ guests.
After the cakes were done and left for a little while to cool i decided that instead of icing the top as was common practice by our preivious baker i would go in a different direction and instead top my cakes off with loverly ice cream.

Below is the finished outcome of my work and one of my friends enjoying his steamed treat. helping to prove the supieriority of steaming over traditional baking.
